SAMPIT, RAKYATKALTENG.COM – Ketua Komisi IV DPRD Kotawaringin Timur, Muhammad Kurniawan Anwar meminta manajemen PDAM Tirta Mentaya membuat terobosan untuk mengoptimalkan pelayanan kepada masyarakat, khususnya pelanggan.
“Masih menjadi masalah klasik dengan PDAM di Kotim ini. Banyak ditemui di lapangan kurang optimalnya pelayanan kepada konsumen,” kata Kurniawan, Senin, 19 Juli 2021.
Saat ini saja, kata dia, ada ribuan daftar tunggu pemasangan sambungan baru atau meter baru yang belum bisa diakomodir oleh PDAM dan itu sudah menjadi masalah sejak beberapa tahun silam.
Terlepas kemajuan yang telah dicapai, saat ini banyak “pekerjaan rumah” yang harus diselesaikan PDAM. Sehingga harus ada terobosan baru.
Ia juga menekankan selain diharapkan berkontribusi untuk pemasukan bagi pendapatan daerah, misi pelayanan kepada masyarakat juga harus diutamakan.
Kurniawan mengaku masih sering menerima keluhan masyarakat terkait kualitas air yang dipasok PDAM kepada pelanggan.
“Masyarakat membutuhkan air yang bersih dan distribusinya lancar, dan itu masih jauh dari harapan masyarakat,” tandasnya. (rk1)
