SAMPIT, RAKYATKALTENG.COM – Penangkapan terhadap pengakut Rotan kering yang berasal dari Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur berpotensi akan membuat harga ditingkat petani anjlok. Dari itu untuk mencegahnya pemerintah daerah harus punya peran untuk intervensi terhadap pasar nanti kedepannya.
“Ketika ada persoalan semacam ini tentunya imbas kepada petani itu ada, salah satunya adalah harga rotan itu akan turun lagi,” kata Ketua Fraksi PAN DPRD Kotawaringin Timur, Dadang H Syamsu, Sabtu, 9 Oktober 2021
Ketua Asosiasi Petani Rotan (Aspero) Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur ini menyebutkan dari data mereka saat ini ada sekitar 5.000 kepala keluarga, 30 pengusaha rotan yang terhimpun dalam asosiasi tersebut.
“Dari 500 kepala keluarga ini saja bergantung kehidupan sekitar 20 ribu jiwa untuk anggota keluarga tersebut. Sehingga rotan ini punya peran strategis untuk kehidupan ekonomi masyarakat lokal,” katanya.
Anggotanya kata Dadang banyak tetapi selama ini mereka tidak pernah merecoki pemerintah dengan hal yang aneh-aneh.
Menurutnya mereka tidak pernah minta pupuk, minta bibit dan lain sebagainya, mereka hanya minta adanya jaminan dan kepastian harga yang stabil.
Dengan harga saat ini yang mencapai Rp6.000 per kilogram tentunya menjadi angin segar bagi kalangan petani. Mereka bisa saja mendapatkan sampai Rp300 ribu per hari untuk penghasilan bersihnya.
“Makanya untuk harga-harga sekarang kami anggap sudah mulai menunjukan keberpihakan harga, kepada petani tolong ini dibantu, dijaga supaya tetap stabil,”ujarnya.
Dadang menyebutkan biang persoalan ini berawal dari Permen KLHK bahwasanya rotan merupakan hasil hutan. Sebab, dikatagorikan tersebut lantaran banyaknya kebun masyarakat ini posisinya masuk dalam kawasan hutan.
Dengan demikian maka harus mengurus Surat Keterangan Hasil Hutan Bukan Kayu, itu dikeluarkan pemerintah. Sementara kebun masyarakat ini masuk dalam kawasan hutan, mereka tidak punya alas hak.
“Mayoritas petani saat ini tidak punya legalitas untuk kebun rotan mereka. Selain itu juga perlu diketahui bahwasanya rotan ini adalah tanaman budidaya bukan lagi sebagai tanaman yang hidup sendiri,” pungkasnya. (rk)
