SAMPIT – RAKYATKALTENG – Ketua DPRD Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur (Kotim) Rinie A Gagah menyarankan, kepada lulusan SMA di Kotim yang tidak melanjutkan kuliah ke perguruan tinggi bisa memanfaatkan balai latihan kerja (BLK) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja.
Hal demikian agar menekan angka pengangguran. Sebab, pengangguran yang tinggi sangat rentan terkait dengan tingginya angka kriminalitas. Pemkab Kotim menyiapkan BLK, untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mereka yang siap untuk terjun ke dunia kerja. Sekalipun mereka baru lulus SMA, paling tidak mereka memiliki kemampuan dasar dalam bekerja, di beberapa bidang yang disiapkan di BLK.
“Kalau siswa lulusan SMK memiliki modal dasar, karena mereka sudah ada jurusan yang fokus sejak SMK, namun untuk siswa SMA hal ini perlu mengikuti latihan, jika memang tidak lanjut kuliah,” jelas Poltikus PDI-Perjuangan ini, Jumat (29/1/2021).
BLK wadah yang tepat untuk mereka menyiapkan keahliannya agar bisa membuka lapangan pekerjaan atau memenuhi kebutuhan kerja saat ini. Pelatihan montir motor, komputer, elektro, menjahit, tata boga, dan jurusan lainnya.
Kursus itu kata dia rutin dilakukan, bahkan sudah banyak yang lulusan BLK membuka pekerjaan secara mandiri. Berdasarkan informasi saat ini BLK sangat diminati, cukup banyak orang yang ingin kursus di BLK bahkan antri sesuai daftar tunggu.
“Minimal lulusan SMA yang memiliki keahlian setelah kursus di BLK, dapat bekerja di bengkel atau perkantoran yang besar di Kotim, karena mereka memiliki keahlian pasti mereka akan dipekerjakan dan digaji sesuai dengan bidang kemampuan mereka,” pungkasnya. (Hun)
